Rigger — Wyoming County

Now hiring: we are hiring a rigger in Wyoming County, New York. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. On a typical shift you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
