Shuttering carpenter — Lynn County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Lynn County, Texas. You should have: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers Day-to-day duties: • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish Full-time with occasional weekends. $25 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
