Argon welding operator — Pottawatomie County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day to day you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
