Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Chippewa County, Minnesota. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line The role involves: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
