Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Multnomah County, Oregon. Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment The role involves remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
