Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Carroll County, Virginia. The job is on a busy housing site. Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Rotating shifts.
