Great opportunity: we are hiring a pastry baker in Schleicher County, Texas. The job is at an in-store supermarket bakery. Your main tasks: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough What we are looking for: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
