Milling machinist — Alcorn County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Alcorn County, Mississippi. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift Day-to-day duties: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
