Banksman — Morehouse Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. You will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
