We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Calhoun County, Arkansas. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day to day you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Share your details and we will call you back.
