Hand presser — Carbon County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a hand presser in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. You will work in a garment export house. On the job you will handle: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Give each garment a final press before packing • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 5+ years on the tools preferred.
