Join our team: we are hiring a panel wireman in Smyth County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will crimp lugs and terminate armoured cable glands; carry out preventive maintenance on switchgear and busbars; isolate circuits and apply lockout-tagout before working; measure voltage, current and load with a multimeter and clamp meter; test insulation resistance with a megger; fault-find on motor starters and star-delta panels. Ideal candidate: • Familiar with megger, multimeter and clamp meter • Normal colour vision for cable identification • Comfortable working at height on ladders and scaffolds 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $6,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
