Bricklayer — Montgomery County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Montgomery County, Maryland. You will work at a residential building site. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently The role involves: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
