Immediate opening: rigger (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Christian County, Illinois. You will work at a container port. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Your main tasks: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
