Immediate opening: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Hampshire County, West Virginia. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Your main tasks: • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters 3+ years on the tools preferred.
