Bakery assistant • Hyde County, North Carolina

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Hyde County, North Carolina. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. You should have: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks You will knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
