Furnace operator • Iseyin, Oyo State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Iseyin, Oyo State. You will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
