Gardener — Onondaga County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gardener in Onondaga County, New York. You will work on the grounds of a hotel resort. Ideal candidate: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors Day-to-day duties: • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn Overtime paid at a premium rate.
