Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Russell County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
