Flatlock machine operator — Van Buren County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Van Buren County, Tennessee. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Day-to-day duties: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
