Bar bender and fixer — Mitchell County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Mitchell County, North Carolina. You will be based on a busy residential building site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
