Argon welding operator wanted in Madison County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Madison County, Iowa. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
