Die-casting operator • Carroll County, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Carroll County, Virginia. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Full-time with occasional weekends.
