Foundry worker — Transylvania County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Transylvania County, North Carolina. You will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Part-time with flexible hours.
