Gang bricklayer — Mercer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Mercer County, Illinois. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. On the job you will handle: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
