Sand plant operator wanted in Franklin County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Franklin County, Alabama. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
