Shakeout operator wanted in Hickman County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Hickman County, Kentucky. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
