You should have: • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding • Confident using diagnostic scan tools On a typical shift you will check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid; recharge and service the air-conditioning system; service and replace timing belts and chains; replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters; replace clutch plates and gearbox components; trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems.
