Now hiring: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Derby, England. Day to day you will set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles. What we are looking for: • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
