Safety officer — Gilmer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Gilmer County, Georgia. You will be based on a high-rise building project. On a typical shift you will enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task. You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Full-time with occasional weekends.
