Immediate opening: steel fixer (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Harrison County, Texas. You will work on a busy residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Ideal candidate: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Six days a week, one day off.
