Die-casting operator • Washington County, Idaho

Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Washington County, Idaho. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills 6+ years on the tools preferred. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
