Join our team: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Franklin County, Virginia. You will be based at a halal meat counter. On the job you will handle: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Rotating shifts. Pay around $250 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
