Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Kurmi, Taraba State. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. Day to day you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts.
