Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Allegan County, Michigan. You will be based on the moulding line. The role involves operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
