Sample machinist — Long County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Long County, Georgia. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory You will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
