Brick and block layer — Rogo

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Rogo, Kano State. The job is on a new-build development. Day to day you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
