Great opportunity: lift installation engineer (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in Travis County, Texas. You will be based at a busy lift company. On a typical shift you will measure rope tension and check for broken strands; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; run load and overload tests with test weights; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance Six days a week, one day off. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
