Urgent requirement: we are hiring a construction helper in Blanco County, Texas. The job is on a metro and infrastructure project. Ideal candidate: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio You will carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns. $200 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
