Metal caster — Dauphin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
