Fettler wanted in Athens County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Athens County, Ohio. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
