Fettler • Shinkafi, Zamfara State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Shinkafi, Zamfara State. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
