Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Scott County, Missouri. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. On the job you will handle: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Overtime paid at a premium rate.
