Argon welding operator — Okpe

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Okpe, Delta State. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Rotating shifts. Pay around ₦190,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
