Cold room technician • Christian County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a cold room technician in Christian County, Illinois. You will work in an AC and refrigeration showroom. You will recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch. You should have: • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Valid driving licence for field call-outs At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
