Single needle operator • Pike County, Georgia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a single needle operator in Pike County, Georgia. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. On the job you will handle: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
