What we are looking for: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals Your main tasks: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
