Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. On the job you will handle: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
