Brick mason — Nangere

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Nangere, Yobe State. Requirements: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day On the job you will handle: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
