Overhead (EOT) crane operator wanted in Tippecanoe County

Now hiring: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. Day to day you will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. What we are looking for: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
